1.Position: Research Officer, Q41
(Jawatan Berasaskan Caruman [JBC] - R&D Programme) - 6 Vacancies
Salary Schedule:
Minimum Salary (RM) 2,315.00
Maximum Salary (RM)9,618.00
Yearly Increment (RM) 225.00
The successful candidates will be expected to work in one or more of the following areas:
Extraction, fractionation and chemical characterization ofnatural products.
Isolation ofmicrobes, fermentation and antimicrobial assay.
Investigation into the structure of natural compounds using column chromatography and analytical instruments such as HPLC, GCMS, LCMS & NMR.
Plant tissue culture and development of methods for mass propagation of plant species.
Qualification:
Candidate must have a Master in Science (CGPA of 3.0 and above) with at least three years of
experience or a PhD in Science with at least one year of experience in this field of work. The
academic qualification must be recognized by the Government.
Candidate must also have excellent command of the English language (spoken and written).
2. Position: Research Officer, Q43/44
(Jawatan Berasaskan Caruman [JBC] - R&D Programme) - 1 Vacancy
Salary Schedule:
Maximum Salary (RM)3,602.00
Minimum Salary (RM)10,504.00
Increment Yearly (RM) 250.00
The successful candidate will be expected to work in one or more of the following areas:
Play a leading role in project planning, coordination and data/chemical analysis such as structure
elucidation of natural products and/or molecular and cellular bioassay.
Able to write scientific reports and publish research work.
Be a team player in an integrative R&D programme.
Relevant experience include operating analytical instruments such as HPLC, GCMS, LCMS
NMR, and/or molecular biology techniques including cell culture, cloning and bioassays with
natural product fractions.
Supervise Research Officers/Assistant Research Officers/Research Assistants.
Qualification:
Candidate must have a PhD in Science which is recognized by the Government with at least five
years of experience in this field of work. Candidate must also have excellent command ofthe English
language (spoken and written).
