1) Assistant Department Head – Meat & Seafood
Jobs Description
- To liaise with suppliers & merchandisers on material & product sourcing, price negotiation, issuance of Purchase Order and display management.
- Assist Department Head to do day to day task.
- To manage staffs and train them as necessary especially in butchery and displaying meat & seafood items.
- To have knowledge in different cut of meat and types of seafood hence able to make recommendations to customers to boost sales.
- To review level of current inventory and replenish accordingly.
- To monitor daily sales and initiate promotional activities in order to maximise sales and GP.
- To initiate Best Practise of stock management in order to minimise out of stock (OOS), stock loss and ensure availability of stock at all time.
- To ensure fast-moving goods are replenish within reasonable time frame while slow moving items are replenish-able on time.
- To ensure safety and hygiene in the department as per business requirement.
- Maintains and organizes meat & seafood cooler and freezer.
- Responsible for performing all job duties with honesty and integrity and in compliance with Company policies and procedures.
- To assist and support Department Head/Division Head/Store Manager/Area Manager in terms of store management, operations as well as any ad-hoc jobs assigned from time to time.
Jobs Specification
- Candidates must be willing to work in rotation basis and 6 days per week
- Diploma or higher in retail management or other related fields.
- Those without desired qualification but possess relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
- At least 3 years’ experience in supermarket retail.
- 1 year experience in managing a team is preferred.
- Analytical, business acumen, negotiation.
- Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English.
- Applicant must be willing to work at Melawati Mall.
- Applicants must be Malaysian citizens or permanent resident.
2) Cashier
Jobs Description
- Receive payment by cash, cheque, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits.
- Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change items if needed.
- Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change.
- Greet customers entering establishments.
- Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas.
- Establish or identify prices of goods, services or admission, and tabulate bills using calculators, cash registers, or optical price scanners.
- Answer customers' questions, and provide information on procedures or policies.
- Cash checks for customers.
- Compute and record totals of transactions.
- Keep periodic balance sheets of amounts and numbers of transactions.
- Sort, count, and wrap currency and coins.
- Process merchandise returns and exchanges.
- Providing training and assistance to new joined cashier

- Candidate must possess at least a PMR / SPM.
- Required languages: Bahasa Malaysia and English. Know any others language is an added advantage.
- Applicant must be willing to work at Melawati Mall.
