HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENTAL (HSE) INSPECTOR
JOB PURPOSE
Plan, coordinate and communicate with LOSC management and staff client and tenant on matters pertaining to HSE programs implementation and carry out the program such as HSE audit, inspections, HIRAC/ EAlA. legal compliance
evaluations, training, briefings, campaign, incident reporting, investigation, etc
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Inspect and monitor the place of work (LOSC and Tenant companies) ensuring that all HSE procedures. safe working practices are being carried out properly in accordance with relevant HSE legislation and LOSC HSE requirements.
Provide support to Project and Operation team in all aspects of safety, occupational health, safety and environmental issues. Assist the QHSE Executive in the implementation of waste management procedures and arrange for timely disposal/recycling of waste as per legislative requirements
Attend pre-job, planning and client meetings as required on HSE related matters. Oversee daily operations within LOSC and stop any unsafe conditions/acts ensuring timely preventative and corrective actions are taken
Assist with developing HSE plans that comply with Company policies and procedures as well as client requirements
lnvestigate and complete the process for close out of all Accident Investigation Reports and prepare/submit lessons earned to the Regional HSE General Manager for promulgation to the management
Investigate any HSE complaints and report findings to supervisor
Coordinate HSE activities between LOSC and any other individual contractor or subcontractor who may be working within LOSC tenants/customer operations
Conduct HSE trainings and orientation to all new employees & Ensure training, tool box meetings, and drills are mplemented as part of the company’s offshore training and HSE program, i.e. emergency response systems. etc.
Ensure all worksites are HSE compliant with Company policies and safety standards
Support HSE personnel's in the development of work site HSE campaigns and good practices
Assist the QHSE Executive in issuing work permits to LOSC Department/Tenant/Contractor for non-routine jobs/activities as required after site inspection
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Qualifications, Skills / Abilities & Personal Attributes
Graduate from university with a degree / diploma in equivalent and be computer literate, with specialization in QHSE or related discipline
Good communication skills. IT skills, MS Office in particular, Excellent planning and organization skills, Cooperative and supportive team player
Dependability, Honesty and integrity, Positive, proactive attitude. Works well with others
