Proposals Engineer
JOB PURPOSE:
Primary function is the compiling of tenders and quotes for the business unit. To this end, the Proposals Engineer will have a sound understanding of the principles of mechanical engineering, cost estimation and a good degree of commercial awareness.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Develop and deliver an integrated client approach to service delivery
Develop and maintain working relationships with internal service functions
Ensure all tenders and quotes are submitted in a timely and presentable manner.
Cost estimation and build up to ensure expected profitability and job KP] are met.
Ensure compliance to clients technical and commercial requirements
Ensure Technician requirements are forecasted regularly to allow for resource planning
Maintain all job quotation, equipment and job registers on a daily basis
Support monthly invoicing for any projects delivered
Participate in any internal or external meetings to support the securing or delivery of projects or support the development of the business
DIRECT REPORTS/TEAM
Works in conjuction with teh Operations and project Teams, QHSE, and HR
OTHER TASKS/GENERAL
Liaise with workshop and office staff to ensure prioritization of workload
Signing off completed work as necessary
Liaise with local office, workshop and UK facility
Ensure work is completed OTIF and within budget
Fulfill training requirements
Participate in conference calls and meetings
Provide updates on project status, changes in scope and any 3rd party resources
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
Previous internal sales or tendering experience
Professional and focused approach at all times, with a positive and proactive attitude
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines as part of a team
Fluent in Enlish and Bahasa. Mandarin is desirable.
