Prokhas Sdn Bhd is currently seeking dynamic and suitably qualified, experienced, highly motivated and dedicated Malaysian professionals, preferably not more than 40 years of age, to join our team of
dedicated staff and grow with the Company in the following highly-challenging positions.
The key responsibilities of these positions are on public communications and stakeholder engagement for a full range of multi-tier national stakeholders and cover a wide range of cross-cutting
local, national and international issues relating to the work of the Company, as well as on the interaction between those issues. The prime objective is to ensure proactive and timely resolution of
issues of public concern and optimise on opportunities for enhancing public communications.
1. MANAGER / EXECUTIVE
(COMMUNICATIONS STRATEGY AND ANALYSIS)
To assist the responsible Director in the following responsibilities on the overall analysis and strategy development tor the public communications and stakeholder engagement:
* to organise and manage periodic national public opinion research on the wide range of cross-cutting issues.
* to develop and maintain a public perception index or dashboard on the evolving public opinion.
* to develop and sustain a communications centre with appropriate analytical tools for developing, analysing and constant updating of the public perception index.
* to analyse and identity public perception issues or areas at concern or opportunity.
* to develop and update appropriate and dynamic, strategic and operational communications strategies based on the analysis.
Qualifications:
* A recognised degree in Political Science, Journalism, Mass Communication, Public Relations, Humanities, Social Psychology or related field; familiarity with statistical analytical tools and
techniques are preferred.
* Minimum of 3 years working experience in similar or related responsibilities.
* Good oral and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia, with the ability to communicate in Mandarin and/or Tamil an added advantage.
* Good analytical and interpersonal skills, and able to work in a team.
* Ability to learn and understand complex technical and broader energy issues and their correlation with public opinion, and develop appropriate and dynamic, strategic and operational communications strategies to effectively address issues at public concern and optimise on opportunities for enhancing public communications.
2. MANAGER / EXECUTIVE
(SOCIAL MEDIA AND CONTENT DESIGN)
To assist the responsible Director in the following responsibilities on the overall strategy and content development, and sustaining various social media platforms for public communications and stakeholder engagement:
* to develop and periodically update a cohesive and dynamic operational social media communications strategy and platforms based on the public perception index.
* to formulate, produce and update multimedia contents for the social media plattorms based on the strategic and operational communications strategies.
* to monitor and analyse, on a daily basis, public feedback on the social media platforms.
* to respond to the public feedback in an effective, timely and factually accurate manner, with input from the communications team.
Qualifications:
* A recognised degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Public Relations or related field.
* Minimum of 3 years working experience in public relations or communications, with experience in developing and managing multiple social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Linkedin and web-based television, and in multimedia content design and maintenance.
* Good oral and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. with the ability to communicate in Mandarin and/or Tamil an added advantage.
* Good analytical and interpersonal skills, and able to work in a team.
* Ability to learn and understand complex technical and broader energy issues and their correlation with public opinion, and develop appropriate and dynamic. strategic and operational, communications strategies to effectively address issues of public concern and optimise on opportunities for enhancing public communications through multimedia content design for social media platforms.
3. MANAGER / EXECUTIVE
(MEDIA RELATIONS)
To assist the responsible Director in the following responsibilities on the overall media relations for the public communications and stakeholder engagement:
* to cultivate and sustain collaborative working relationships and communications with the mass media.
* to prepare briefing materials. press articles, kits and releases, public service announcements, and other initiatives.
* to organise and manage media events.
* to monitor and analyse, on a daily basis, local, national and international media reports on the wide range of cross-cutting issues.
* to formulate appropriate response on emerging issues through the media, with input from the communications team.
Qualifications:
* A recognised degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Public Relations, Broadcasting or related field.
* Minimum of 3 years working experience in public relations or communications, with work experience in Malaysian and/or international mass media preferred.
* Ability to cultivate effectively working relationships and liaise with journalists and convey messages on the wide range of cross-cutting issues accurately.
* Good oral and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia, with the ability to communicate in Mandarin and/or Tamil an added advantage.
* Good analytical and interpersonal skills, and able to work in a team.
* Ability to learn and understand complex technical and broader energy issues and their correlation with public opinion, and develop appropriate and dynamic, strategic and operational, communications strategies to effectively address issues of public concern and optimise on opportunities for enhancing public communications through multimedia content design for social media platforms.
Successful candidates will be offered an attractive remuneration package with training and career progression opportunities. Every position shall be on a three-year contract basis.
